How to Apply for a Digital Nomad Visa in Spain?

Follow these steps depending on whether you’re applying from your home country or already inside Spain.

Option 1: Applying from Outside Spain (Spanish Consulate)

  1. Book an appointment at the Spanish Consulate in your country.
  2. Submit all required documents, including:
    • Application form (Type D Visa)
    • Valid passport
    • Proof of remote work or freelance contract(s)
    • Proof of income (≥ €2,160/month in 2025)
    • Clean criminal record certificate
    • Proof of health insurance
  3. Attend a visa interview (if requested).
